*Naughty Mommy*

Just a funny story about Gracie this morning. I laughed so hard I couldn't even answer her question. You'll see..... keep reading!

We were sitting around watching Super Why while trying to wake up this morning. Meanwhile, Princess Presto, with "Spelling Power", was spelling the word boat on TV. Gracie looked at me and asked. "Mommy, how do you spell boat?" I replied "let's sound it out. B, B, Boat. What does boat start with?" She replied with the letter B and we continued spelling the word. B-O-A-T. Next she asked "Mommy, how do you spell bowl?" My answer was the same... asking her to sound it out and continuing to help her spell it. B-O-W-L. A few seconds later she turned to me and said "Mommy, how do you spell bullshit?" I was dying of laughter... Now I know that I spelled her second word 'Bowl' wrong... She was referring to 'Bull' the whole time. The worst part is.... she got that word from me. Naughty Mommy!

Camping with the Glines Family!

Thank you Uncle Bill for borrowing us your cabin for the weekend. It was perfect! The smell of the cabin and just being up there brought Dad and Ya Ya (Aunt Karen) back to their younger days remebering Grandpa and being there as kids. It was really neat to hear some of the stories and see some of my great grandpas old stuff.
One of the best things about camping is the food and great company. Mom and dad made dutch oven dinner and then we whipped up some S'mores... Yummy! Gracie, Chase, and Nan all went tubing behind the boat and loved every minute of it. Garrett is still way too young to go out on the boat so him and I stayed back at the trailer while the kids went boating.... It was quite relaxing, and I was able to get some reading in...
I'm sad that we had to come home early, one more day would have been perfect! I love you guys...Thanks for the memories, we had a blast.

School Days!

Gracie on her first day of school with her Kung Fu Panda backpack!

Gracie started preschool, Hooray! I don't know who is more excited me or her. I am loving the 2 1/2 hours of quiet in the afternoons. School is a godsend... Now if I can just figure out how to get Garrett to sleep at the same time.
Gracie seems to love school too! She started on August 7th and asks me everday if she gets to go to school today. She is learning new things all the time. I am amazed at some of the things she says. This one is the best though, "Mom, I think reading will be boring because you just sit there." I rebuttled by asking her if TV is boring because you just sit there... how clever is that?

She is a Dancing Queen, La La, La!

Ok, so I may be obsessed with my kids, but they are so dang cute... Gracie had her first dance recital in June and it was one of a kind. As you can see they wore the little pink ballet tu tu's. The theme was Mary Poppins and the dance was to the song "stay awake" (I don't remember it from the movie but am sure it was in there somewhere.)
Gracie's class was first on the program (luckily-because hers was the only class that went twice) The first time they were all clumped together and had no clue what to do. They are only 3, and with no direction from the teacher, what do we expect? The second time was much better and I got both dances on video. It was a twofer... aren't we lucky. The funny part of the whole thing is that Gracie's favorite part of the recital was the bow at the end.
I only have a couple of pics from the recital and none of just Gracie. SAD :-( As I was deleting some pics off my camera I got a little carried away and oops! I deleted most of the pictures from the recital... I was devastated! My heart sank when I finally realized what I had done. Thank you Jenni for coming to my rescue and making me a copy of the photos you took. Anyways, it was fabulous. Gracie we are so proud of you! You did Great!

Gracie and her daddy with all of her flowers from the recital...isn't that sweet.

Garrett is Rolling Over!

At 4 1/2 Months our little guy is rolling over. I am one proud mama. He can roll from his back to his tummy but has no clue how to get back or do anything from the tummy position yet. I leave him on the floor and very soon after I know he's on his tummy because he starts to grunt and moan. How Cute! Isn't this pic great! Gracie and I were laughing so hard at the sweatband (obviously Gracie's doing) not to mention the PINK chair!

I've Started!

Blogging that is... I have finally decided it's time to create a BLOG. My kids (and hopefully Jake) will thank me later. I figure this is the best way to document all the wonderful things in life without having to scrapbook. Anyone who knows me knows that I don't scrapbook (or make anything for that matter.) I am super excited about it because I can do it all on the computer... HOORAY! Just my style. I have been blog surfing for some time now and am totally inspired. Thank you to all of those faithful bloggers out there. Now if I can just figure out how to do it. Happy Blogging!
