House, I will miss you!

Moving day is coming near... I am sad to move but super excited for the unknown. We are still not sure where we are going to end up. We'll be staying with my parents until we decide either to build again or buy something existing. The thought of building again is wonderful because we can get exactly what we want in the location we want to be. But, there are amazing deals on homes that are already built with yards and fences and finished basements.

This is a short farewell to my amazing home. We built this home and moved in March 17, 2008. Jake and I designed every last inch of it. It truly is the perfect place but moving on is what we do. I do hope we can stay put once Gracie gets into school. Who knows though.

Valentines Day Funnies!

As any busy mom would understand, I ran out of time and energy the week of Valentines, and Therefore, delegated my motherly duties. I dropped my kids off to my parents and assigned my dad to pick up valentines for Gracie to give out to her class. He followed orders wonderfully. They went to the dollar store and instead of buying a box of pre-made valentines for kids, they went straight to the hallmark card section and picked out all the "pretty" ones. Of course Gracie can't read and Grandpa didn't read them. While Gracie was at Grandma and Grandpa's she wrote her name on the cards, put some candy in them, and sealed them up. There was nothing left to do but send them to school for the kids. Gracie ended up being so sick with a fever on Thursday. She couldn't go to school for her Valentines day party so I sent all the cards with her on the following Tuesday.

As I was at home today, I got a call from Jenni about the card she found in Aniston's back pack. Apparently, Gracie had delivered her cards but Aniston didn't open hers until today. So, Jenni opened the card and this is what it said.....






At this point... I am just hoping that the other cards were not this "adult" oriented. Who knew that grandma and grandpa would send a 4 year old to school with Valentines day cards about sex? You know all the parents think I am a total pervert. Oh well, at least we got a good laugh.

Sick, Moving, and stressed!

It's official... we are MOVING again. And yes, we are crazy! I listed our house and it went under contract in less than a week. We had two showings and both families came back more than once. AMAZING! But I really wasn't expecting to sell that quickly (especially in this market) We have to be out the end of the month. Yuck! So that makes 10 moves since Jake and I have been together.... a little over 8 years. I wish I could say that this will be the last time we move. What can I say, we are nomads! But we always stay in the same general area every time we move. All of our homes have been within 3 miles of each other. Ha ha!

My entire family (except me) is and have been sick since Hawaii with the fever, runny nose, sore throat, etc. Not fun!

I am in this weird funk right now. I can't bring myself to work out, or clean the house, or do pretty much anything. Weird! I wonder if it's the winter blues.
